Clutch

In order to start or shift from one gear to another, it is necessary to disconnect the engine rpm from the gearbox for a short time and then reconnect it after changing gear. The part is called the clutch, and if it's defective it allows:

  • increase the speed of the vehicle, but it will only speed up slowly or not at all.
  • The gears are difficult to change
  • The car jumps when starting
  • Or there are grinding noises when driving, which are difficult to identify.

The effects are not only annoying, but they also endanger the driving ability and safety of your vehicle. Therefore, take these indications of a broken clutch seriously and contact us.

Where is that noise coming from?

  1. Switch off the engine and
  2. and press the clutch. If there is a noise, it is usually due to the pedal.
  3. Here you can then oil / lubricate something yourself....

Does it sound as if it is in the engine compartment?

  1. Then the problem probably lies with the release bearing or the return cylinder.
  2. These are things that we will solve in the workshop.

Come on over, we'll set it up for you again quickly.

If the problem is a wear of the clutch, it takes a while, because it can be related to different parts on the transmission.
