Wheel alignment

The term axle geometry describes how the vehicle's tyres make optimum contact with the road surface.

This in turn is an important aspect for the mileage of your tyres, uneven tyre wear, but also for your safety on the road - especially in the rain. Therefore, have your axle geometry checked regularly - for example, when you change your tyres each season. At Zimba KFZ, this is also checked automatically during the pickle inspection.

It doesn't take long to adjust the axle geometry - one bump on the curb and the track is misaligned:

  • Lateral forces act on the vehicle and reduce the directional stability and track behaviour.
  • Tyres are worn irregularly and have to be changed much more frequently
  • You can skid when braking

During a wheel alignment and wheel alignment, the chassis is precisely adjusted to achieve the following goals:

  • uniform wear of tyres and wear parts as far as possible
  • a parallel running direction of the wheels - a straight track
  • optimum braking performance through the best possible road contact
  • prevention of avoidable accidents - for example due to aquaplaning

This enables the smoothest and most comfortable ride possible.

Tijdens het uitlijnen van de wielen wordt het chassis nauwkeurig afgesteld om de volgende doelen te bereiken:

  • a possible slippage of straps and sliders - an even loop alignment of the panels
  • an even loop alignment of the planks - a right spoor
  • optimal remprestaties door het best mogelijke wegcontact
  • the prevention of dangerous occurrences - particularly as a result of aquaplaning.

Dit zorgt voor een zo soepel en aangenaam mogelijke rit.

If the wheel alignment or wheel alignment is not set correctly, various problems can occur.

  • pulling the car in one direction
  • inconsistent tyre wear and wear of car parts
  • reduced grip - this can reduce braking power and increase the risk of aquaplaning

With the help of our electronic devices, which record the current situation by means of sensors on the wheels, we compare these with the specifications of the manufacturers. These have standardized the values and we adjust deviations against these target values.

The approach to a curb is certainly clear ...

But also when changing the shock absorbers or springs, the geometry of the settings changes.

Also the equipment with a sport chassis, the change from winter to summer tires or vice versa is the good opportunity to have a track / wheel alignment carried out.

All with the aim: safe driving, less tyre wear!

Now is the time to adjust the track safely! This irregularity causes the tyres to wear irregularly.

The wear on one side causes significantly higher operating costs during vehicle use and reduces operational safety.

Als de wieluitlijning or wieluitlijning niet correct is ingesteld, kunnen zich alllei problemen voordoen.

  • The car in one direction trekken
  • inconsistent belt alignment and slijtage of auto-onderdelen
  • reduced grip - this can reduce the road holding and increase the risk of aquaplaning

With the help of our electronic equipment, which registers the actual situation by means of sensors on the windows, we compare it with the specifications of the manufacturer.
